- P and I got married in the summer of 2005, three years after we got engaged. We started trying to conceive two years later and were incredibly lucky to succeed on the first try. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be, as there was something wrong with the baby's heart and it stopped beating. Miscarriage is super common, but we were still shocked it happened to us. This is our story -- a story of loss, trying again, and life in general.

Never too early for me. Or at least it used to be never too early. I eventually got depressed about wasting too many of those expensive tests and stopped taking them all together. I actually don't even have any right now.
I only have any because some cheapy test strips came free when I bought pre-seed. (I say "some" because it was supposed to be 4 but they seem to have just grabbed a handful and tossed them in so it was more like 7.)
I think 10dpo is a good bet. I try and hold out until then, at least.
Cheapie pregnancy tests are the best if you like to test early and often.

I'm with Jen. Never. Too. Early.
I got a positive at 9 DPO once. You just never know.
Fertility Friend told me last month to not test until 18 dpo. I told it, it was high and I tested at 12. For crying out loud I'm basically picking out cribs by 18 dpo!
