Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your story, both of your miscarriage and your pregnancy, in your blog. I started exploring TTC blogs end of last year and came across your blog. I have always drawn strength from others stories- and my husband and I were moving towards the idea of starting to try to get pregnant. I went back and re-read parts of your story and it has been so helpful as we now find our selves healing from a miscarriage. Our story has a lot of similarities. We’ve been married about 2 ½ years- Decided this past January we were ready to throw away the condoms and in February, we found out we were pregnant. Our first ultrasound at 7 weeks alerted us that the fetal growth wasn’t as far a long as it should be. We had an agonizing limbo period of three weeks waiting to see what would happen. I started miscarrying at about 10 weeks and ended up having a D&C a week later. Its been almost two weeks since the D&C. Some days are better then others in terms of the emotional healing. And on one hand I can’t wait to begin trying again and on the other hand I am so scared to face the chance of going through this all again. When you tell your story of the first pregnancy you talk about the “pregnancy glow” and the indescribable joy you felt- you explained it very well. I am caught between being absolutely grateful for the chance of knowing that joy, if only for a glimpse, but also the grief and resentment of losing my naive ness when it comes to pregnancy. I draw hope from your blog and I rejoice with you (truly I do) in your pregnancy and wish you a fear-less journey of bringing this little light into the world.
